Through extraordinary coincidence, founders Kristin Ward and Lauren Messmer were both born to military families in Honolulu, Hawaii, which is perhaps why, years later, their shared passion for creativity and discipline was the catalyst for forming a company in 2009 that would become Solutions Advisors.
Each coming from senior living backgrounds: Kristin with more than 20 years of management experience in the senior living industry beginning her career as a nursing home administrator; and Lauren as account executive for a senior living advertising agency – the duo faced an uphill battle undertaking sales and marketing consulting assignments for communities reeling from the effects of the recession with low occupancy and dwindling wait lists. Out of friendship and loyalty to the pair, early staff members – volunteers, really – helped achieve hard won successes in a competitive environment and the company was off the starting block.
From two staff members in 2009 to 32 in 2017, Solutions Advisors has grown exponentially as the senior living industry, too, has evolved. What has remained a constant over the years however, is the determination, tenacity and spirit of entrepreneurship that grew Solutions Advisors from a small company to an industry leader in sales and marketing in less than a decade, and which continues to motivate each team member to aim for excellence.
Being born on a volcanic island in the Pacific has its merits.

Our person-centered sales philosophy views prospects through a different lens: one in which older adults are seen as having purpose, control and legacy. This philosophy extends to our creative services by developing branded identity collateral, lead generation materials, websites and digital strategies that speak specifically to the developmental drivers of the growing segment of the aging consumer.
